Ladybird Room 3 – 5 years

The ladybird Room offers a preschool education within a safe, secure and fun environment where the children build secure foundations to help them achieve school readiness and meet their early learning goals.
Children have free access to three rooms which offer a wide range of stimulating activities. 

The children have access to a creative room where they can explore a range of craft and malleable materials.

There are a further 2 rooms: 1 houses a construction area, a maths and writing area, a chill out zone with opportunities to read and self regulate and a role play to name but a few!

The other preschool room promotes communication and language with the use of small world and story sacks.

Your child's development is carefully observed and summarised by their key workers in a termly summative report. Activities are provided to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.

As with our 2year olds we also offer the 30hr working parent funding entitlement to all 3 and 4yr olds whose parents/carers qualify. This is offered in one of two ways: over 3days per week term time only  OR we also offer the 'stretched offer' where children can get up to 24hrs per week for 48weeks of the year. With the stretched offer there is no funding for the following 4 weeks: 1 week at Christmas, 2 weeks at Easter and 1 week over the August bank holiday.

When funding is not available children are still expected to attend but our normal daily rate applies. We do not offer term time only places. On a 'funded day' there is a charge for food.
Education is an entitlement for all children. We, therefore, also offer 15hrs of free nursery education funding for all 3-5yr olds. This is offered on a 'flexi basis' and sessions are given weekly via the Ovivio app.
