Butterfly Room 2 – 3 years
Your child has grown and developed from a Caterpillar in to a beautiful Butterfly but they have so much more to discover and learn. Therefore, the aim of this room is to have lots of fun whilst furthering their learning and development.
The room is specifically designed to enable the children to have daily access to a range of malleable play, creative activities, and construction toys and books. The children's individual needs are met through our daily routine which includes safer eating and rest opportunities.
The children also have access to a safe revamped outdoor play area, which greatly enhances their learning opportunities.
The room houses both a nappy changing and potty-training area. This is to protect the children's privacy during intimate care and ensures that the children's personal needs are met.
In line with the Government roll out of the 30hrs funding entitlement for working parents of children aged 9months onwards, from September 2025, we offer 30hrs funding to all of our 2year olds who qualify. This is offered in one of 2 ways: A) 30hrs over 3 days term time only or B) 'Stretched option' where eligible children receive up to 24hrs per week for 48 weeks of the year. There is no funding for the following 4 weeks: 1 week at Christmas, 2 weeks at Easter and 1 week over the August bank holiday.
All children are expected to attend for the whole year and, therefore, our daily rate applies when no funding is available. We do not offer term time only places. On a 'funded day' there is a food charge.
